Ayon sa news na ito, inilabas din kahapon ng Japan Ministry of Justice ang latest data ng mga overstayer here in Japan as of July 1, 2018 at ito ay umaabot na sa 69,346 katao, which is an increase of 4.3%.

Ang main cause ng pag-taas ng bilang nito ay ang pag-start ng implementation nila sa paghihigpit ng refugee application noong nakaraang January 2018. Marami sa ngayon na mga refugee applicant na hindi naaprobahan at nabigyan ng notice na hindi umuuwi at nagiging overstayer na lamang.

By country, nangunguna sa dami ng bilang ay ang Korea na meron 12,822 katao, then China na meron 9,459 katao, then Vietnam (8,2969, Thailand (6,860) at Pinas na meron 5,282 katao.

Sa data ng mga overstayer na mga Pinoy, by type of visa, makikita na maraming nagiging overstayer na mga Short Term visa holder (tourist at family visit) na umabot sa 1,918, then sinundan ito ng mga Japanese Spouse Visa holder na umabot sa 1,004 katao. Then sinundan ito ng mga Designated Visa holder (Refugee included) na umabot sa 472 katao, then mga trainee na meron bilang na 148 katao at mga student visa holder na meron 14 katao lamang.
